Gospel Plan Of Salvation

Gospel Plan Of Salvation

Open your Bible and follow God's Word.  God will reveal what you must do to be saved.

Romans 1:16 - The gospel has the power to save.  The apostle Paul preached the gospel does save.

In order to be saved one must first know that he/she is lost:

Matthew 9:12 - Must realize you are lost in order to be saved.

Romans 3:23 - One must realize that they have sinned.  Be at the age of accountability, knowing you have sinned and need forgiveness for what you have done.

Romans 6:23 - One must realize that if their sin is not forgiven they are forever separated from God in hell.

You must hear the words of Christ:

You must hear the message that Jesus Christ died on the cross for the sins of all man, He arose from the grave and ascended to the Father where He reigns as King of Kings, Lord of Lords.

Romans 10:17 - One must hear the word of God

Matthew 17:5 - One must hear the son of God, Jesus Christ

You must believe in Jesus Christ:

One must be a believer that Jesus Christ is the son of the living God and that He died for them.  It is true that faith alone does not save one must have faith to be saved.

John 1:12 - Faith gives one the right to become a child of God

Hebrews 11:6 - We must believe in God and we will be rewarded.

Acts 2:36 and Matthew 28:18 - You must believe that Jesus came to earth, died for your sins and He is now the King with all authority

You must repent of your sins:

Repentance is a change of mind, change of life.  Turning away from the former things and looking to only those things that will help you obtain heaven.

Acts 2:38 - On the day of Pentecost, the first gospel sermon preached and we are told that we must repent.

Mark 1:15 - A direct command from Jesus Christ

Acts 17:30 - A direct command from God

You must confess your faith:

Acts 8:37 - Make a public confession that you believe in Jesus Christ

Romans 10:10 - With the mouth confession is made

You must be baptized:

After realizing you are lost, hearing the gospel, believing in Jesus Christ, repenting of your sins, confessing your faith that Jesus Christ is the son of the living God, you then must baptized.

The baptism in the Bible is an immersion into the water.  It is not a sprinkle or dash of water, it is a complete immersion into the water which puts you into Christ and washes you sins away.

Acts 2:38 - We are to be baptized

Acts 8:37-38 - A complete immersion into the water

Acts 22:16 - Arise be baptized, washing away your sins

1 Peter 3:21 - Now doth also baptism also now saves us

Must remain faithful:

Baptism is not the end of Christian living in fact it is the beginning.

1 Corinthians 15:58 - Be ye steadfast (faithful), unmovable (faithful)

Revelation 2:10 - Be ye faithful even if you are facing death
